Default 9/11 Photography

Hey

I thought I'd see if anyone was planning on doing anything for 9/11 photography related.

I got this on a mailing list, I thought it was worth passing on.

Lightbulb My Plans for 9/11

I was thinking about inviting some people to travel by Metrolink to the Norwalk Station to photograph some trains.

Apparently, the rent-a-cops at Norwalk chase people away when they attempt to photograph trains.

According to Metrolink you are allowed on the platform with a ticket and there is no restriction on amateur photography.

Perhaps the late afternoon should be spent in the Cajon Pass, although I would be extremely surprised if any body got hassled up there due to 9/11.

People who get hassled at Cajon usually deserve it (like they are standing on the tracks) or meet up with this dope:

For the Norwalk platforms?

Regarding Norwalk - believe it or not, my one time there in the last five years, no one said boo to me (and there were guards there). Haven't tried going back since because there's simply no place to park.

Irvine is another candidate.

I'll be working, just like every other weekend. I'm hoping I won't be at any 9/11 memorial service. I prefer to remember what happened on my own time and in my own way. If I were off, I probably would be out railroading shooting. The good thing about football is that it comes on the radio, too, for those who might prefer to be outside some.

Of course, it helps that my team is the Panthers and they look to be in "Wait til next year" mode already.

Thursday night, however, I plan to plant myself in front of the TV for the Packers and Saints.

Are you sure you are from Florida? With those comments, I'd expect your hometown to be somewhere in West Virginia.

There's plenty of hillbillies in Florida. Just because it's beside a body of salt water, doesn't change the fact it's a trailer park.. And trailer parks are o-plenty down there.

I was going to say does a "LA-Z-BOY, [and] my 52" HDTV" really fit in a trailer that small?

A Cajon Railfaning Story
I was out shooting the blue hour this morning and was approached by the Metra ticket agent at Hinsdale. She was the same lady that approached me at Naperville in the dark two years ago. She came up ver ytimidly and asked if I was taking pictures for fun. I responded with a "yes" and then she said something to me about 9/11. I said I was done for the day(the blue sky was gone and the gray clouds were coming out). She said "good, I wouldn't want you to get stopped by the wrong people." Still trying to figure out what that meant....

The automated femaile voice announcements were playing this morning "if you see something, say something." Same announcement wsa played for at least a week after OBL was killed. But today's announcement mentioned "WHO" and something else that might have been "us" pronounced "U.S." or vice versa.

Yes he does, and they'll call in his license number and they'll go down there and give him a ticket (if he doesn't).
