Overprocessed, really?

Ok, so this one gets me. I don't know where they are getting overprocessed from, why would I need to remove noise on a daytime photo? I rotated, cropped, and sharpened, that's all. If they're referring to the "washed out" sky, I'd like to see what they can do on an Arkansas summer morning with that much humidity! Only thing I can think that might help is maybe a little more contrast to darken the sky up some....
Any opinions? Criticism welcome...

I'm not good at seeing these types of technicals, but I do see the washed out, oil painted look a bit. Not as bad a a lot of the over baked "HDR" shots that go through though.

Did you save at the highest quality?
Also, it looks too green to me. I'd reduce the green, making the sky more blue.

Looks OK, for my taste and interesting showing the power with the shops, but the sun is very extreme and the shadows look reduced from what I would expect so I might think there was too much shadow reduction. The nose of the 44 does have a funny look to it. without seeing original you can't know for sure the processing.

Sorry, but only steam shots can get away with overprocessing these days. 
FWIW, it looks completely acceptable on my monitor.

On my computer monitor, there is definitely something funky going on with the maroon paint job on two of the locomotives in the shot. Perhaps that's what the screener saw?

Ok, since, its been rejected for undersharpened, oversharpened, and now hue after playing with the contrast. I guess I'll start from scratch and try again...

LOL, like when the ground, trees and subject are brighter than the sky.
Something I learned back a while cannot happen and you shouldn't do but times change I guess.

One of the immediate issues I see is the green/yellow color cast. It's real noticeable throughout the entire photo. I would also adjust your composition so that your main subject isn't positioned in the top right of the frame.

I guess my post processing skill suck lol, if I send someone the original, can you see if it can be fixed? FYI I'm not working with photo shop, so my tools are somewhat limited...

Too much contrast, and the pole at left needs to go away. Sky has lots of magenta speckles as well.

Looks much better than the original in terms of color, cropping and leveling. However, the exhaust plume in the original is much better and even disguises that ugly utility tower in the background. But...you got it on and that's all that matters.
