Thank you for the link to this very touching story. It's nice to see that a huge company like Union Pacific has a heart. God bless this child, his family, and UP. Rest in peace little man.

Railfans are missing the point of this story. Yes, it's touching that UP did this. But this family lost a little boy and we're here congratulating Union Pacific. SMH Just because they're a railroad and we're railfans. Sad.

Of the people posting here before you, several said "touching" and one said "condolences." I don't think "touching" refers primarily to the RR action and didn't do so in the case of my post. I don't think anyone is missing the human element here - mighty hard to do so given that the illustrating photo is of a coffin. You've overreacted and inaccurately reacted, in my view.
