That pretty much sums it up. It will be great meeting everyone. If I didnt think I could get any "good" photos I probably wouldnt go. I like the challenge. I dont care if 100k people show up, there are still different angles, etc to be had.

Haha. If I had the money and a ride (not being able to drive yet really has it's disadvantages), I'd be packing for Owosso in the AM, but unfortunately, I will just have to sit here and wait for all the images to roll in. It'd be cool to see all the RP.net contributors plus several steam locomotives that I will probably never get the chance to see again, but oh well.
I hope everyone has a good time.

Actually, if Walter starts suffering geared engine withdrawal, we can just send him over to "The Henry Ford". I think Greenfield Village has a Shay . . .

Well, I'm indecisive, so I'll pick my top 3.
Recent one, but a very cool line nonetheless:

The Reading & Northern gets my approval.
The Chicago Terminal is my favorite shortline so far, at least partially because they're the only place in Chicago to see street running.

Finally, who can go wrong with Chinese Red, a high nose, and Torpedo Tubes?

And I'm not going because I'm in Philly for the summer and already have enough to explore in the area without going someplace else new.

Not sure if the Utah Railway is a shortline or not, but who cares.

I will not be attending TF... Originally it was because I was assisting a friend in moving, but he didn't want my grumpy and crabby attitude I had the day before leaving so I stayed home. Plus, financial reasons is keeping me from doing much of anything... Even though I would have loved to meet everyone that I talk to on the internet.

I was waiting for it, Steven. I knew you'd mention your "best friend" somehow.
Boy do I know you....
Too much...
