The taken first shot and Uploaded last shots are scans from prints taken in 1999. Ben a long, hot, hazy, humid, hot, boring summer of not many photography ops for me. I was trying to spend some of the time getting old print csans in, but gave up after th last ten were rejected.

Out of curiosity, how are you guys able to include that many images in a message? When I tried, I got an error message saying that I could only include 4 images.

Some interesting comparisons in the posts. One of the unique features of Railpix is the sort function that makes stuff like this possible. For an old fart like me it is fun to sort them in date order.

I was talking to Brad Morocco the other day, and I had told him I'm almost disappointed in the way this turned out. The quality just isn't there, that's pretty much it in a nutshell why I was not entirely happy with it, but it is a nice shot none the less, and it looked like everyone agreed!

I personally have had a problem with those trying to tell us to turn railroad photography into an "art form." It's fine for them to do so, I welcome it in fact, but what I do have a problem with is that the practitioners of the more "arty" shots, I have found, tend to look down their nose's at others who are shooting more "mundane" shots.
Railroad photography is what you make of it, but one way is not "better" than another, IMHO. Unless you have a pole right thought the nose of the engine! -SG
