First off - Thank you!

I have been reading on these forums for quite some time and have been trying to learn as much as possible... I haven't posted for a long time, but I'd like to think I actually learned this from here.

I woke up this morning to find my first ever - first try accepted photo.

I expected a couple rounds of tweaks, but since I could not decide what it needed, I wanted to post it and get some input.

I know it's not perfect, but I do like the way it came out.

So...
that brings me to the help.
Rejected for "Composition/Balance"

I also tried a more vertical of the train and signals, but that was dings for cropping.
I had a lot more to crop from, but most of it was shadows on the far right and bottom.

thoughts, suggestions?

Amazing first shot! I love lit up catenary like that. Crop looks fine. There are always alternatives, but it looks fine.

Only complaint - it isn't level, it's tilted to the left.

A small correction... these photos should be listed under NJ Transit, not NJDOT. The NJDOT hasn't run a train in the state in over twenty years. Nice shots, though!

Yes, beautiful 1st photo!

For your rejection, MAYBE the problem is the closest cantenary, and how it runs off of the left side. Maybe try cropping the left side up fairly close to the 2nd cantenary upright, watching your demensions.

Good luck. It would make a great #2.

Thanks... I'll check into the corrections on this one.

And I apologize for misleading anyone one a first pic, this is my 4th.
What I was trying to say was I only submitted it 1x, no rejections.

JRMDC - I guess the level would be ok IF I kept the closest pole that I leveled, but that got cropped out. with the original pic, it looked level. I'll see what I can do about resubmitting it. Another lesson to learn.

Please, am I on the right track, or is this for the personals?
Any suggestions for keeping the tower from the original?
I have several frames is there some key piece that should be different?
This is the one I thought had the best chance.

I knew after the last pic spoiled me, this was going to be more difficult
