Default Help, photo refused for being: "too dark".

How can I photoshop this picture to acceptable standards? I thought this was a good picture but the screener refused it for poor lightning. More specifically for being too dark. Do you agree with that? Because to be honest, I don't.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7. There is probably a very simple way to change it, but I haven't got a clue how!

It got accepted!

I would invite an appeal of this rejection. I don't see a huge problem with it myself.
