I think there's a bit of an illusion taking place. To me, the smoke stacks appear to be leaning slightly left, that is, until I line them up with the edge of my screen. Maybe it's the landscape in the foreground messing with our eyes.

Of course it's OK for big, poke-in-the-eye watermarks to lean!

I also agree that it's level. There is very little color sway at pixel level to denote any sort of leaning on the stacks and other structures.

Your brain is trying to lie about what your eyes are seeing.
