How to crop

Hi troops. Got a rejection I need help with:

Randy could you supply the actual rejection link? The BNSF image that you linked to is so small that it's hard to get a good look at it. From what I can see the Metrolink shot includes the entire train, while the BNSF shot is cutoff on the left side. That's probably what is getting your shot rejected.

Sorry. I have changed the link in the original post.

I had to crop the Metrolink shot tighter to get it in, so I assumed the same would needed for the BNSF photo. Let me know what you think.

On the last one you cut off to much train on the left side.

Yeah, you cut off way too much of the BNSF train. Did you crop this shot down? If you did you might be able to save it by including more of the image on the left hand side (at least get all the motive power and some of the train). If you didn't crop it on the left hand side, then you'll need to try again.

Most of the time I try to take my shots with extra pixels on the sides that allow me the freedom to cropping down to the perfect (at least in my eyes) composition. You can always crop wider, but you can't add pixels that weren't captured originally. You should try the same approach here. Right now the composition just isn't as well balanced as the Metrolink shot.
