Level Me!

I'm having trouble figuring out how to level this. I wonder if the problem is really distortion from a 16mm lens. Here's the rejections:

I think you may be right randy, but I also think it's the angle combined with that lens. There's too many different degrees of unlevelness going on, it's off on one end and it's off by a few degrees on the other end, it's not consistent unlevel. Try to rotate it to the right and see what they say.

I'd say, from where I'm sitting, the unlevel-ness of the image lies not in the building (which isn't level, but not distractingly so), but in the tracks, which is what I noticed right away. I think with certain architectural shots, a sloping-away horizon is pretty acceptable, maybe tackling the track issue could help you out a little. A slight clockwise rotation?

Level the shot based on the verticals closest to the center of the image. As it is now, the image is leaning heavily to the left.

Leveling the center is where I started and what I think is most appropriate. I'll look again with an eye to going to the right.

To expand on what Chris said (I hope)...

This one is easy, actually. You have a dominant vertical line near the center, the corner edge of the upper part of the structure. It is no way near vertical. Rotate the image until it is.

The camera was tilted upwards so you have converging verticals, combined with the horizontal perspective and the wide angle lens it will be all but impossible to get this to ever look level IMHO.

I like the shot too, it does not suffer from the usual night photography problem of being overexposed. If I was the editor I would have run it.
