Default Railfan Park

Well guy i know that you just can't ask you city, town, etc. to build a park. How would you go about it or where do you start. I live in Joliet, IL and we have this whole Rt 66 road side attraction deal. Where the city and the historical society want people to visit our city. Well the way i see it the BNSF Chillicothe Sub run right by the old Rt 66 and near by is a big empty pieced of land. Which i think would make a great park. I am thinking something like what is at Rochelle, IL.

Well just to know how many would visit if we had something like this.

For the local railfans how many think we should have something like this or would i just be wasting my time.

Thank you all for your time.

So let me get this straight. You want to build something that will attract crying children (It's more family-friendly than, say, a day on a cliff) and also something that attracts foamers like a magnet.
Or maybe I just don't like railfan parks

Make a list of the places that have one and contact their respective mayors and chambers of commerce and find out how they got it done.

Is this a continuation of another conversation? If not, it's a very strange way to start a thread. Who is this "guy" you are referring to? And what is the lead sentence a reply to? What am I missing here?

Hahaha. I believe there was suppose to be an 's' after guy making guys which isn't very politically correct on public forums since there are a number of females that frequent the RP ones. He also left out the word 'just' in the opening sentence which makes it very jumpy. "I know you can't just ask..."
