That's right. Get pissed off and take the rejections personally. That's what we all should do!

Luke-

I'll try to change the direction of the thread a little. I have to say, you do have the photos chronologically correct in my eyes. The "ugly" shot is very pleasing to the the eye. Color is good and is pretty well balanced. The photo needs a kick of sharpening and a slight CW rotation. I like the "ugly" photo. The other two don't do as much for me.

I think the first shot is a great 'glint' shot, but the locomotive is just too close to the edge of the frame.

Agree with MichaelJ on ugly; hope you can go back and reshoot someday. But the image looks quite familiar, didn't we discuss something like it previously in the forum? BTW, I like it, I like how you have the glint just behind the cab/number on the lead unit.

Uglier is not my cup of tea but it is for some; the color is pretty bad to my eye but that is something you can try to deal with in software - green ballast? green pilot? In PS Elements I'd go to the option, can't remember what it is offhand, that lets you choose "less green." And go from there.

Ugliest, to my eye, has no redeeming qualities.

Hi Luke,
Ugly or what ?
Ugly = good pic (you passed a similar one on RP !).
Uglier = Technically perfect (its crisp) until the lighting - but you got a terrific shot accepted there

The ugliest = you could be right in this discription - its a matter of taste; for me it looks a bit like «Star Wars»; it may be modern art or so... but you can't recognize much of some train stuff.

I think you are joking a bit: you have enough terrible pictures accepted here with a high level of quality for making someone who's unhappy now!

In sense of aggressive advertising your thread looks perfekt !

Thanks Chris, I thought it looked familiar.

Luke, are you uploading again the same shot you uploaded some time ago? If so, why?

Resubmiting rejected photos and hoping you get accepted generally isn't looked upon too highly by the admins. I think its called screener fishing.

I believe the original image was procliamed "too soft," so I sharpened and resubmitted 9 months later. I didn't realize the screeners frowned up that.

They only frown upon it if it hasn't been corrected.
