New Here - Intro

Hello, all!

Name is John from Old Hickory TN living in Murfreesboro TN across from MTSU.

I'm in to photography as a hobby and shoot anything, but figured I'd sign up here for those times I shoot trains and want to share them with folks that will appreciate seeing them.

I grew up with the short line that goes to Dupont in Rayon City passing through my parents back yard that borders Andrew Jacksons property.

I think my Dad moved to that house partially because the train ran through the back yard.

His father worked for L&N in Franklin TN.

Here in the picture with the fellow hanging out the cab of a steam engine is my Grandfather in 1915. I'm not sure if he was ever an operator, but I do know he ran the L&N Station in Franklin TN.

This is a picture of him on the retired NC&STL at Centennial Park. He is standing on the left holding the hat.
