I sense you are trying to poke fun at something, Mitch, but I cannot discern what.

Aside from Dave's crappy shot (pun intended), my examples break the rules of high views. Often, but not the rule, a photo posted vertically or in B&W tends to get less views though there are obviously the acceptions.

Here's my rule breaker following the lines of the thread:

I tend to think I have one of the higher percentages of "rule breakers" out of total shots in the portfolio on RP.

Very nice shot with the handcar, Kevin! I've never seen anything like that in the database. Pretty neat!

Thanks Chase! It was originally rejected as PEQ. I suspect that the Screener had never been to the WW&F and thought it was a shot from some type of kiddie park. I don't appeal much, but I appealed this one explaining what was going on, and they accepted it. The kids really get a kick out of the 2-foot handcar, because the diminutive size makes it somehow more approachable....and parents can't use the "you're too small" excuse to keep them away.

I originally interpreted the theme to be oddball shots that somehow made it in despite the rules. I know see that others are taking it to mean excellent shots that made it in because the "rules" were properly ignored by the screeners. I won't pile in with a bunch of my usual stuff, not necessarily excellent , but I will offer this trifecta.

Backlit, going away, non-standard dimension:

Ditto. So, following Janusz's lead:

My most popular shot on RP was taken in the middle of the afternoon with a complete absence of sunlight:

I had to grow some thick skin on here right quick after that was accepted into the db! But, in my defense, the screeners did have the option to reject it in the first place...
