Default Bad Compisition, What Else is wrong?

I really seem to like this evening telephoto shot of trains coming West into the Martinez Depot, but I just can't seem to get it correct.

Any help is appriciated, what to do, what not to do, how to fix this shot...

Thanks guys,
Steven M. Welch

The train is smack dab in the middle of the frame. If you have a larger version of tis one, I would crop out some up top and a lot on the left of the frame. If you have an uncropped version of this one that includes more to the right, I'd leave more to the right then the left.

Thanks Joe... I ended up shooting them all with the train smack in the middle of the frame, so I think tonight I'll have to make a run back up to try it again.

Thanks!

Any excuse to see more trains.

When you head back out make sure to use the rule of thirds for your composition.

I wish it was that easy for all of us. I'd love to be trackside more, but holy $$$ for the damn gasoline! Hmmm...start new thread in trip reports.
