Default A brief visit to the CSX Chicago Line

I had to take family members to Rochester, NY this past weekend, and figured since I was doing all the driving, I could get my railfanning fix in the process.

In this shot, what's that sinister looking abandoned building on the right. Looks like a good urban exploration sortie.

I'm told it was a collection of old mills that used the waterfall for power. But I haven't much of an idea as to what type of mills they were. You can always research the High Falls Region of Rochester and I bet it'll come up with some info.

Interestingly, there's a Genesee brewing plant behind me. Nice to smell fresh brew while taking train pictures.
