Default Shelby CO. Sheriff Got Hit By A Train

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky State Police reported a Shelby County sheriff's deputy has been involved in a collision with a train.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Friday on King's Highway near Waddy, Ky. The car was apparently dragged by the train down the tracks, both of which are owned by Norfolk Southern.

Signs are posted at the crossing, but there are no warning lates or gates.

The deputy was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Louisville.
