Default Human Interest = PEQ?

Well, this one got knocked for PEQ.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...key=1011308417
I know the problem with my previous MOW/Worker shots has been a lack of purpose on the part of the subjects (i.e. standing around, unfocused, etc.). This one, though, I had hopes for. The photograph is focused on the individual, and shows them performing a specific task. Hmmmm...thoughts on this one?

Thanks!

Maybe they're afraid his shirt will pop out and you'll end up with a photo of "plumber's butt"!

I still have no idea what that guy is doing, and your remarks don't help either. I can already tell it's a B/O since there is a tag there.

Looks like he is kneeling in mourning of something.

Yeah... it's just not very interesting to look at. He doesn't appear to be "doing" anything to me.

Have to agree, sorry... I'm looking at an uncomplimentary view and have no insight into the man or what he is doing.

Hmmmmm...criticism accepted. I guess I'm the only one who can tell he's looking at the car.

Would a shot such as this one (once fixed up and such) work better.

What? His face is facing more towards you than the car...

Maybe you are remembering the general moment and not looking at the image? Maybe he was looking at the car but at the moment of shutter release he had turned and was looking at a spot on the ground about a foot in front of his left foot?
