Talking Gramma question?

After reading the commentary in Louis Becker's Weird Comment thread http://forums.railpictures.net/showthread.php?t=6623 I would like some clarification.

Here it is: Yesterday a Trackmobile went off the track. It derailed right by a derailer.
So, was this a coincidence, an irony, an ironic coincidence, or a coincidental irony.

Please help me solve this mystery and vote.

When you also take into account that the trackmobile is no longer mobile because it left the track, the decision becomes a lot more difficult...

I think we also need to know, was it derailed BY the derailer or derailed NEXT TO the derailer?

Whether it was ironic or not depends on how much iron it is made of.

It came off the track and stopped next to the derailer - right beside the "D" sign informing one of the derail's location.

I feel that if the derailing of the trackmobile was caused by the derailer then it was ironic, and if it derailed near, but not because of the derailer than it is a coincidence. However, does it really matter b/c don't most trackmobiles have tires?

Not really. This thread was just about having fun with semantics.

However, the crew was looking for at using an excavator to help get the trackmobile back on. They left for lunch before attempting anything. So my guess is, the simple solution of dropping the wheels wasn't the complete answer to their problem.

Are we talking about Alanis Morrisette irony? Or actual irony?

What, like meeting the love of your life and then meeting his wife?. I was thinking about actual irony.

BTW my wife looked at the opening post in this thread and her response was, "Oh brother, you need to get a life".
So Joe, do you still have that NR program that worked on your kids?
