Mistery reject
The attached photo has been rejected today, but no reason for this rejection has been mentioned by the Screener.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...key=1233947600
What is the problem? Can the picture be fixed? Your comments would, as usual, be highly appreciated.
Any information about the location and the date at which the photo has be taken would also be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Daniel

You don't get to just take a photo from the Timken archive and put it on RP. It is not your photo, you do not have the rights over it to make that decision. Well, as far as I know.
If you really want to see that shot on RP contact Timken and ask them to submit it.

Do you own the rights to these Timken archive photos that you post? I see you have several that have been accepted.

I am working for this Company. As mentioned earlier, I always specified the source of the photo. I thought it would be interesting to share these forgotten pictures with the RP members. There was absolutely no bad intention from my side in doing this.

If you have permission, I dont know then what their reasoning is then. I cant really find anything wrong with it considering the age of the photo and the limitations of the equipment used to take the picture other than the fact that it is back/side lit.
Edit: by the way, it's spelled mYstery

Never thought there was a bad intention. Sure we love these old photos!!! Just asked if you had the rights to them is all. Original point of this thread was why it was rejected, thought that may be why.
Didn't know you worked for them, as far as I know that alone doesn't give you the right to post them.

Still, as an employee of the company, you do not have rights to use of the shots. Now, if you get a letter from the General Counsel's office saying you can put them on RP, then you are set!
Good intentions are not enough, that is the way of the world. I can't take material from my employer and use it in public without permission.
As for the rejection, every so often there is no rejection reason, it happens, don't know why. You can appear and ask why, or you can resubmit and in the remarks be clear that you didn't get a rejection reason last time.

The locomotive is one of the road's 50 I-4 heavy Pacific's, No.1350-1399, built by Schenectady in 1916. They were the roads premier passenger engine until the I-5 Hudson's in 1937. They still worked the mainline till the end of NH steam in 1952. Sorry, can't help about the location except all those tracks suggests to me suburban Boston.
