Default Very interesting train car

It must have taken a lot of paint and time to do this...........you can't even tell who owned the car.

That is pretty nice, to bad all tagged cars didnt look like that. I wonder is the car owner will reapint the car, or just place reporting marks over the paint.

It was done by Saigon and apparently he/she likes animals in the painting.

A minor problem with this type of vandalism is that these artists may obscure the reflectorization features that are now being applied to cars as a requirement of a new FRA regulation. So plaintiff attorneys will try to use this in an attempt to transfer blame in crossing accidents.

I've seen Graffitied cars with reflectors on them. All the RR does is paint tiny little rectangles with the cars color of paint and then apply them. Its hard to see them during the day but you still can see them fine at night.

Most Graffitit artists paint around train reporting marks and reflectors knowing that their art will be painted over later by the railroad if they didn't.

I never thought graffiti artists had the courtesy! But you're right, I have seen graffitied cars that were painted around reporting marks. Most immature gang tags don't of course.

That is some amazing art. Too bad its being wasted on the side of a train car and not a murial. I like it too when the railroads love the graffiti so much they paint reporting marks carefully over the graffiti.
