A good indicator is to look at ballast and weeds near the nose. Not sharp in my view.

It needs just a touch more sharpening. With simple sharpen in GIMP at a setting of 30 to 40, it looks much better to me.

Sharpened it up, and got it rejected for bad cropping. Any suggestions now?

Loosen the crop a smidge and lower the loco in the frame a bit. right now it is a bit too centered vertically. it's pretty close IMO.
