Default Worth it or not?

I've got two underexposed rejects on this one, not Poor Lighting. Underexposed is fixable, in theory, anyway, but Poor Lighting is not. I know the ligting was not pristine, but the story behind getting the shot -- I was a lucky SOB -- and the three train meet aspect was pretty cool.

I honestly kinda like it as is. So should I work on it some more or keep it on my Flickr page?

I don't know, Joe - it feels a little candyland to me (fixing the lighting, I'm guessing).

That doesn't mean it isn't cool as heck... but I'm not sure about it getting on here.

Looks a bit oversaturated to me, like you were trying to compensate for partial sunlight. Done it before also, guilty as charged.

Two folks whose opinion I respect have spoken. And also Ween. So I'll leave it on Flickr. I still like it as is.

The location has promise but the lighting sucks, also you mislabeled the railroad.

Might look cool in B&W. Not that they'd accept it, but you could look at it yourself!

I've tried getting twilight shots on before and failed everytime.

That, sir, is a great shot... but the screeners don't seem to like/want/care for shots like these.

that doesn't appear as twilight. It's just poor light.

Skip it Joe.

They like/want/care for them when they are processed correctly.

Well, I like the photo, but it's over saturated and the lighting/composition will not fly on RP. Other than that, the image is a definite Flickr candidate.

Three train meets are always cool! Shot shouldn't have to be as perfect if it has that kind of railfan coolness, but, not my site!

The problem with that is that most of them won't be perfect. Remember, the site wants the better of the pack. If a shot is not of the better type, that is what Flickr/RRPA are for.

But correct processing can be close to perfect, hence the rejection.

I think it's a really cool shot. But when I look at it the motive power looks a little dark for some reason and it's a bit on the yellow side. So lightening up the motive power and reducing the yellow a bit resulted in this. I think it's worth pursuing Joe.

The pictures to my eyes looks like the sun is setting and it has cast the orange glow to everything.

I believe it was almost 8 p.m. when I shot that. The sun was low and honestly more on top of the train then on the side. After seeing Chris Z.'s version compared with my Flickr version, I see that maybe there is more work I could do to it to at least make it look a little better.

That looks more like reality.

Cool shot, but it appeared to be way too juiced.
