B&W Suggestions

Looking for advice on a few shots.

First one is in Sepia and got hit for bad color. Is this style shot just not acceptable or am i not looking at it right.

My guess is that the sepia shot is too dark.

The other two, too much of the ground and not enough sky, I'd assume.

This is just my 2 cents.

The sepia photo looks washed out. I think B&W might look better.

The second photo with the little girl in it. I would say take some off the right. If your able to maybe add some on the left so her arm isn't cut off.

For the third photo you might want to add alittle more space on the right. It's pretty tight.

I'm sure I'm missing stuff but I'm sure there is others on here that can add more.

By the way I really like the shot with the little girl in it. To me that photo just screams B&W but thats just me.

To me the first shot just seems 'flat' and in need of some more contrast.

I will echo what Jason said here, as I agree with him. However, with regards to the first shot, why sepia? Was there any reason you converted the shot, or did you just feel like being different? I don't feel the shot warrants the sepia conversion and would be fine as a color shot.

3-Too tight on the right.

I chose the Sepia for personal taste more than anything.

As for the sign shot I will re edit as I have a few frames there with more room

The shot with the girl I wish I would have been able to get her completely into the shot, but she ran up as I started taking pictures. And was promptly pulled back by her mother,who thought she was in my way. I can get the whole arm into the shot but not the feet. Maybe a personal collection shot I guess

Well the change from Sepia to B&W worked. Thanks for the advice.
