I have a few, but this one stands out... as of the time of the photo and still currently, the last remaining SD40-3 in Maroon and Gold...

DMIR 403

...and this one... tornado sirens going off everywhere...

Gust front

...and this one... rejected for back lit, intentionally...

BNSF 7045

Kevin,

I really like the HOS Report photo. It reminded me of this one:
Image © Andrew Blaszczyk (2)
PhotoID: 227157
Photograph © Andrew Blaszczyk (2)

So something like this is acceptable. BTW, the former WAME/current ME-_ is one of my favorite chases. Going east from Meadville is on my list of things to do.

Ottergoose,

That Rock Island photo is awesome. What did it get nailed for? I'm guessing maybe lighting. Too bad it didn't work out. It would make a nice addition to the DB. Great one to have in the PC though.

Here's my contribution to the thread. Some of the more senior members may remember the story. In learn, and improving through RP, I now realize that this photo is by no means RPEsque, but it's still in my list of top 10 rejections.

These two is the only rejects I can remember (I don't upload much these days). I knew the GO shot was iffy... it's only really significant in that someone took the time to turn a unit as all GO power faces east as a rule. The other shot, well, I still don't see the grain.

GO Transit is sometimes weird, they'll have a unit facing west at the west end of the yard playing around building a trainset or just taking one apart to have individual coaches looked at inside the shop then they'll alternate with another F59 while the one that was playing yard goat goes onto the mainline for a stretch or sits at Willowbrook for a couple of days. By the way haven't I seen GO 555 around before ? or even shot it before ?

Unhappy

Here was a bummer shot... I actually get to go to the TRRA's yard at Madison, IL for my job to check out one of Railpower's new RP20BD Gensets and I get hosed by rainy, cloudy weather. I still like the shot with the 2 SW1500's sitting right next to their possible successor. Would have been a great shot if the sun would have been out.

BTW: This shot got rejected for "Cloudy Day/Common Power". I guess there are Gensets everywhere these days...

Yeah, I seem to recall something about that unit and you. You have a few of the unit itself, and a bunch of it's windsheild

Hahahaha, that was the last time I brought the camera to work on the GO Train, the week right after was the change of card and that was it for all the tail end guys, I got something similiar to yours Mike regarding the double header. This one was with GO 520 (now retired) and GO 562 at Sunnyside.

I usually keep a copy of the rejection, but not this one for some reason. However, it was for "high sun" (would have thought cloudy day!)

This was cloudy day etc. Common power (in Spain) but not on a train like this.

Another cloudy day, but more common power in a very unusual place (think it is the only one of these ever to have gone down this line).

I didn't see the grain then, and I don't see it now. Even if it IS there, it's considerably less than a good 25% of photos that get accepted on a daily basis. That's a nice shot...I'd give it another go.

I appreciate the support Jim, but I'm not gonna appeal. This shot looks nice in the PC. I thought this one was a shoe-in, but I guess I have more to learn

I didn't much feel like digging something out of the depths of my HD, but it occurred to me that I had the perfect shot easily accessible as it is my RP profile shot.

Thanks, Jim Thias, for the image inclusion guidance in the thread in the other forum.

You don't have to appeal. Just resubmit it.
