Default California beach/railroad scene location?

I took this screen cap from the television show "Psyche." Quite often they show these rails outside one of the regular locations in the show and until now I wasn't sure if they were props or part of an abandoned line. However, once I saw this view on the episode I just watched I figured the tracks were legit and someone here might know of their location. The show is supposedly filmed in Santa Barbara, but a search in the RP database returns nothing that looks like this.

Anyone have a clue? Charles?

Here's a shot from the other side of the blue railing, although I think there may be a little continuity error with the image above. This screen cap came just after the one above in the same scene...but the water level looks quite different.

That's White Rock, British Columbia and the line going by is BNSF's New Westminster Subdivision.

re continuity error, might be same location, tide change, the former high, the latter low. If you are at the blue rail facing perpendicular to the ocean, the sun is to your right in the first shot, to the left in the second shot. Even more so, the sun may be coming straight down the tracks in the second or close to it.

Sure ain't Santa Barbara. I haven't been to White Rock, but when I was in TV, I sure spent a lot of time in Vancouver. Makes sense that would be where it was shot.

It's White Rock, alright. Regarding the continuity error, they're definitely at least 3 or 4 hours apart - White Rock has dramatic tides, but not that dramatic!
For railway content, the line hosts 3 trains each way daily. Northbound/southbound BNSF freight, and two sets of Seattle-Vancouver Amtrak Cascades trainsets.
Here's a shot from the north end of the beach, looking south, taken by my good friend.

The pier is visible in that one.
And to prove that I've been there...

Thanks for the location ID! I had a feeling it wasn't in Southern Cal. So, now I'm wondering...how come no one has a train pic from the angle in the first pic I posted?? That would make for a great shot.

Panhandle of Florida CSX, I think it's called the PA Sub. It's the line from Flomaton to Chattahooche, FL, former L&N connects with the Tallahassee sub to Jacksonville.

Is this a serious response?

I didnt even read the OP's post. I just threw out a suggestion of a beach location based on the thread title. Guess if I actually read it and looked at the pictures I would not have suggested that.

I didnt even notice it was you. I saw beach.

Now that I have thoroughly read the entire thread, I have confidence it is not in Florida. If I was to guess, I would say somewhere inbetween LA and San Francisco.
