Default most photographed locomotive at RP.net.

While viewing the latest posts I quite often will click the links to a loco ID number to see what else is available and the question hit me about how to find the most photographed active service locomotive at RP.net.

Can anybody help me figure this out ?

This would exclude museum pieces, tourist RR`s, company business trains and the like.

The UP heritage units (including CNW 8646 & 8701) have to be up there.

We could each take a few guesses and try them, as a group effort. Brute force method, sure, but I have none better.

Staring with Mike's suggestions:
CNW 8646: 81 pix
CNW 8701: 60 pix

some guesses:
UP 6936: 68 pix
UP 844: 160 pix PLUS UP 8444: 22 pix (manual count, there were also 8 pix of a diesel 8444)
NKP 765: 102 pix

SP 4449: 209 pix THE PROVISIONAL LEADER

One more idea popped to mind, a local choice, so I got curious, but I am now stunned to find A NEW LEADER

WMSR 734 (Western Maryland Scenic): 258 pix!

Also, of interest to some regular forum participants, or at least one

NHIR 40: 57 pix

and also

PM 1225: 146 pix

So check any tourist and/or photo charter participants! Heber Valley, or whatever that NV operation is, what are their engines?
