Default Anyone Esle Like Worn Out Tracks?

I don't know what it is, call me crazy. But for some reason I get a kick out of seeing worn out old tracks that are still in use.
I guess its knowing all the trains and all the work they have done throughout the years.

For instance, here is a good pic of what I am talking about:
(Yeah, you guys probably think I am strange)

Come on, that's good mainline track for CSX. They repaired some track torn up by a derailment in Habersham, TN just enough to where the line could be put back in service. In fact, I stepped on a tie once and got it to bounce. Now, if 200 lbs. bounces a tie, just think what 20-30 14,000 ton coal trains do to it every day...

How about worn out tracks that haven't been used in decades?

There used to be a streetcar system in my hometown. This is one of the only signs of it that remains.

Actually, those tracks in the photo are not used for mainline travel. The only one that is is the track on the right (note the continuous weld). That is part of the Brunswick Yard and it is usually used for storage of coal trains for the local PEPCO plant or trains waiting for a fresh crew.
