Question Poor Lighting Help

I tried submitting this shot, and it was rejected for being backlit and high sun. Although I was on the wrong side of the tracks (getting to the other side is impossible, without a boat), I thought it would still be bright enough...

I'm surprised that they rejected it for lighting, and not the light pole...

Thanks

The side of the train has no light on it, You have a good plan for a shot but it needs work, as in to much in foreground.

Well I see the photo and think that the lighting isn't the biggest problem. It's that big pole right in front of the train. It really takes away from the shot and I don't think Railpics with except it. Sorry

The High Sun and Foreground Obstruction buttons must be side-by-side on the screener's window.

In general this is an upload-limit-reducing type of shot.

Thanks for the help. I really wish the pole wasn't in the way...
As for the square crop, I needed to get rid of the inside of the car...

Joe, you were pretty close to producing a neat photograph. Would like to see you try this shot again, or go back through your take and look for a photo before the big pole came into view.
