I don't get the joke, what are the comments all about, and why does RP even screen comments if they let this stuff through?

There are similar comments on some of his other photos. Are the screeners skimming the comments and accepting them because of their positive aspects?

I must say i did a double take when I saw the comments. I've had comments rejected in the past for sarcasm, but I never tried to post anything like those.

Here's another example that hasn't yet been scrubbed. When I first saw this, I thought that the site has been hacked, but it appears that the comments follow the photographer.

And looking at the posters "handles" reminds me of the personal license plates that slip through. Now I guess they will have to screen users names.
Sure they think they are being quite clever???

Time for the adults to show up and take care of this. Maybe a notice that says, "You must be THIS tall to post here."?

What the hell is the point of screening comments if this shit is let through? Completely unprofessional for RP to let that through. There is no excuse for that.

It's fine for them to do so, I welcome it in fact, but what I do have a problem with is that the practitioners of the more "arty" shots, I have found, tend to look down their nose's at others who are shooting more "mundane" shots.
Railroad photography is what you make of it, but one way is not "better" than another, IMHO. Unless you have a pole right thought the nose of the engine! -SG
