I would have loved to capture some crowd scenes along the way, but you have no idea how insane it was. This is US 460 after I got back on the highway from the Blue Ridge shot. Rather than go into Roanoke, I opted to head north to get on I-81 for the three hour trip home.

When I was in Spencer last week for Jim Wrinn's event, folks wondered why I didn't plan to stay for the big chase on Saturday. Certainly, some people were able to get a few nice images, but I am relatively sure that those took a fair amount of local knowledge (regarding where the good shots were, lighting at various times of day and most importantly, the road system....not to mention good contingency planning.) Lacking that local knowledge, the visions I had for Saturday pretty much looked like the picture in Ron's last post.....which depicts what traffic here in Massachusetts looks like MOST of the time! No thanks!
