Let it go. The color is off and there's absolutely no detail showing in the nose of the locomotive. The horizon is possibly tilted slightly as well. You have a good eye and I see what you were trying to do but this one should've been deleted before it ever hit the internet...

Glint shots should not have so much detail in them. Look through the database, and most will be of mid-train or the locomotives are going away and are at some distance from the camera. Next, there is usually uniformity. Be it autoracks or tank cars, this adds to the composition. But probably most important is the color from the setting sun. Dark shadows are played off the deep oranges/browns.

I am not a glint shot expert, nor have I taken any serious attempt at them. But, I put a bit of thought into your question today.

My #1 rule for glint shots:

Expose for the subject, not the lighting.

Interesting shot. You shot the train too close to you, so the dark engine front, which has no detail showing, dominates the picture. If you show more of the scene and everything else is properly exposed, back lighting can work. Back light will be rejected, unless it has produced a pleasing combination of shadows and rich colors. The buildings and the rest of the scene are over exposed and washed out, plus the color is off, with a green tint, perhaps due to excessive lightening in photo shop. Try again, but stand back a bit more and take the picture when the nose of the engine is exactly between the semaphore signals. You will have a better picture. Good luck.

thanks all for yours replays.i will put it in mind.in the original pic i have some more area around the train as this one is cropped version.and i also have some lights in it so i will get more area around the train and add alittle lightening to the nose of the loco and upload it.
again thanks ya all for the replays and take care.
