Default Wedgie cropping

Figured this would be a shoe in, but nope. Do they want more boring ballast, dead grass or sky?

I would say add a little more to the left and top.

Sky please! I really am not a fan of excess boring ballast, asphalt and such though it can be tough with an all blue cloudless sky.

There's room for a more appealing crop - the train is somewhat centered in the scene top to bottom (crop monster food) and it is a bit tight to the left. I like to have more room ahead of the engine then behind (gives it's somewhere to go).

Can you add some to the top and left?

Left no, top yes, so I guess that doesnt solve anything. The frame before this is too far back for my liking. The nose is in the right place in the frame in my book but if the RP gods dont like it oh well.

Might still work - just go super tight - tight is better then centered, though it's gonna be really tight.

Crop off some of the right and add to the top, crop the bottom.

You might have luck in that respect with an earlier frame.

Perhaps the Bad Cropping refers to the top of the tower in the background being cut off...that was the first thing I noticed.

Im not going to shoot wider to include an ugly cell tower lol. I may try a tighter crop later, I dont like the earlier frame so wont bother with that.
Funny how I spent so much time planning where to shoot this and the only shot available that later in the day was this, oh well its on flikr for now.

Cool

For "me" it is too tight on the left and too tight top to bottom.

Also, a little too centered top to bottom.

I dont see how a looser crop make the shot any better There was absolutely nothing else of interest in this scene other than the power. Was a cool searchlight signal right behind me but the shadows crept in too much before the train got there.

just a bit more space to "breathe"

as you know, the magnitude of "better" matters not for RP!

You've also got a prominent tree growing out of the cab. That's as bad as a pole, IMO. It would have been a nice framing element had you captured the nose of the train a little earlier.
