Default Does this stand a chance?

I uploaded this pic once and it was rejected for bad contrast, but am wondering if i should give it another go

A bit less contrast to my eye, yea its a nice spot.

It looks a bit soft as well, however that could just be the jpeg compression.

It was soft contrast. I played with it. Does this look any better?

I thought "Image quality looks a little bit low" but then I realized it was from an L16...
