Am I not seeing these correctly?

Usually I can agree with any rejections I receive, but these confused me. Perhaps they just aren't as good as I thought? Opinions are appreciated.

Ahhh!!! The open door.

Cab shot- I think you're too wide on it compared to others that are in the DB. I'd try to bring the outside levels down some too.

First shot, I like it. The open door may be the reason for rejection, but otherwise the shot is composed well, exposure is right on, and it's pleasing to me.

Second shot, the levels outside are too overexposed in my eyes

First off, great shots! I love the first one, but RP.net does not generally accept images where the cab door is open. There are a few exceptions, but overall, it usually tends to be a distraction in the image.

As for the second one, I love the wide angle, but it does appear a bit overexposed. If it would've been a night exposure, I'm pretty sure it would've been a winner.

I love night exposures of the cabs, and shooting a super wide angle makes the image even more appealing, in my opinion.

The biggest fault with the in-cab shot is that there's not much to look at. We're seeing a lot of window and a lot of nothing in the cab in the top third or more of the picture. Then there's the control stand which seems to just happen to be sitting there, not really the main focus of the shot, but just sitting there.

As mentioned above me, it's way hot outsidfe the windows.

The first shot looked really good to me at first glance, oepn door and all. But on second look, the lighting isn't that great. I could go either way on it. Did you get any other shots when either it was lighter or darker out?

Thanks for the replies. It makes sense now.
And Joe, the light was pretty much the same in all my photos of it, since it was there for such a short amount of time.

Did you get some shots of the crew actually getting on and off the cab? A blurred few people would make the open door make sense.

I believe I did. However, I took them at a different angle that I wasn't as happy with. I'll look through them though.
