Check this out. It's probably just a political statement, but it's hilariously ridiculous that it's even been put forward as a bill.
Let's take a look here:
Quote:
(1)A person who enters onto a farm or other property where legitimate agriculture operations are being conducted without the written consent of the owner, or an authorized representative of the owner, commits a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084, Florida Statutes.
(2) A person who photographs, video records, or otherwise produces images or pictorial records, digital or otherwise, at or of a farm or other property where legitimate agriculture operations are being conducted without the written consent of the owner, or an authorized representative of the owner, commits a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084, Florida Statutes.
(3) As used in this section, the term “farm” includes any tract of land cultivated for the purpose of agricultural production, the raising and breeding of domestic animals, or the storage of a commodity.

Hokay, so for the record, I looked up a first degree felony - It's the third highest level of offense. First is punishable by death, second is life imprisonment, and taking a photo of a farm? Up to 30 years in jail.
On trains.com where there is another thread on this topic, some good points have been made - This means you can be convicted of a felony, sent to jail for more than half your remaining life, and have the rest of it ruined by being a convicted felon for walking up to a farmhouse to ask for directions.
Oh, and google maps will have to block out every single farm from both satellite and street view, and other maps will have to get rid of any agricultural detail.
No photos, no paintings, no drawings of farms.
Funny thing to put in paper, isn't it?

Scary indeed, do the politicians down there grow or store lots of drugs and don't want anyone-cops included taking photos of the product?
