Railfanning in Nebraska, South Dakota area

I will be in Nebraska, South Dakota area in late May on vacation, will be flying into KC aand driving up, need good railfanning locations in the areas.

You might want to look into visiting Alliance, NE, which is BNSF's hub for Poweder River coal operations. Also Crawford Hill, which is northwest of Alliance. Bridgeport, NE, where BNSF and UP coal line cross, south of Alliance, has a fair amount of activity, also.
