Default Still?

Got the underexposed rejection 3 times, I admit the previous 2 times were a little dark. This is he 3rd version, looks good and moody to me! Appeal? Bring out shadows a bit? Adjust the overall image?

I like it as it is but you could bring the exposure up by a couple tenths of EV's.

The exposure looks fine to me. I'd think about reducing the contrast some, along with a small reduction in either saturation, or the red channel instead.

That 2nd version of Homestead is just awful oversharpened, into horrible IQ territory. No idea how they can call that "blurred." I don't see the blur in the first version.

The McKeesport, you wanted (or I wanted you) to bring up the dark without making the fog brighter. It looks like you cooked it overall. I'm not sure what you did, actually, but boy you turned that fog into dense steam! It looks like a winner to me once you get it right. Maybe try tomorrow because today you just aren't seeing it.

Without getting into a whole argument, I'm just going to go out with one point.

"...you just aren't seeing it."

Seeing what? What they want? The way I see it before it got "cooked" into an "RP Recipe" is the way I wanted it to look. I should have ended it with the first rejection and continued on with other photos. Foolishly I played this game that seems to be going on and made it into something I didn't.

That is all.

I like the photo in the OP. Not underexposed.

Hey Ben, this appears to have worked on a dark fog shot that is on the front page this week: "...on a misty November morning." Maybe you should write something about morning or evening in the caption.
