Other than the screeners/admins only the submitting member can view a shot while its still in the queue. Aside from that, there's not many times when "unusual" will get a shot through if its not otherwise up to par. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Sorry, not going to fly. Cropping, composition, lighting, image quality are all issues (may be others too, I'm just going at a glance). Plus there's nothing unusual about a cab car. In fact they're even harder to get on cuz they're so bland looking (this coming from one who shoots them admittedly too often himself).

Y'know the "right" one's actually kinda cute! Dunno if its RP material or not but I like it. Probably get the boot for "front-coupled" though! Lighting's still an issue, maybe cropping too. Is that steam coming from the car wash on the left, or something else?

I think you might need to take a gander at/review the Submission Guidelines:

Uploading stuff crap like this is a great way to get your uploads per day cut way down or cut out completely.

Ok I will..

1. The GO Transit train was in the Via Toronto Maintence Center for VIA trains only. I have always went to that bridge since i was a kid and i didnt see that everyday i thought I saw it ONCE or TWICE throught my childhood years.

2. The VIA Train was pushing and pulling the 1988 EMD GO F59PH. The train also had a few GO coach cars on it.

Ok, how about showing more of the Maintenance Center? There's nothing that gives this shot a "sense of place." Right now it just looks like two cut off, common locomotives facing each other near some random garages.

A word of advice,
RP doesnt care whats rare in your area, as annoying as it is at times.
Take it from me, i got my slots reduced to 2 for appealing a shot of a ex-CR unit with markers on with no nose light, once you get your slots dropped to 2 its nearly impossible to get them back unless you want to pay to be RP elite.

Why would you need more than 2 a day?

1. Ditto that. And I've been going to that bridge since before there was a bridge.
2. I've heard they are storing GO equipment on VIA's TMC tracks but a train in the shops is a new one on me. Perhaps one of the stored trains didn't want to move on its own power and they figured it more cost-effective to have it repaired in the TMC shops than trying to move it across to Willowbrook?
Have to agree with Jim on showing more of the scene to give it a sense of place too. I knew it was the TMC at first glance due to familiarity (had the car wash mixed up a bit though, just a brain-fart) but billions of other folk wouldn't have made the connection, and therefore the uniquness of circumstance. As mentioned previously "uniqueness" does not guarantee and/or rarely influences acceptance here.

What's to laugh about? Cloudy lighting has its place but this (VIA TMC) isn't it, being all dull and gray as it is.
For an explanation go read the guidelines as Ween said. They are there for a purpose and the main purpose is to have a place where people can see higher than average quality rail photography as opposed to just anything anyone cares to throw in. Railroad picture archives is the place to go for that type of shot, or Flickr or many more. Pretty much the only sub-par stuff that gets accepted here is old scans of old trains and things of the past that tug at (some) peoples heartstrings. Take my avatar for instance, its a purely crap shot but I like it cuz I really loved that old Caddy and I juxtaposed it with another old GM product. Not likely anyone else would so I'd never think of submitting it though...

Because when both your slots get rejected for nitpicky reasons (oversharpened, undersharpened, slightly underexposed) it is rather annoying to have to wait till the next day to resubmit.
Then theres also those good days when you have alot of shots and then you have to wait several days to upload them all.
I currently have tons of acceptable and good (not just 3/4 NS Trash 9 wedgies, i dont bother sending those) shots that i probably will never have a chance to upload.

You haven't read the guidelines yet. Looks like you replied before I edited to enhance the explanation. Sorry, I am a slow typist.
"Cloudy day shots of standard and common power are typically rejected. Exceptions are made for photos featuring interesting or artistic compositions, or where clouds/fog/etc. are used for artistic effect."
