This week, car headlights.... Next week, photoshopped in marker lights on a CSX ES44AC.
In all seriousness, it was just one of those moments where I had a feeling that curve would offer a pretty neat effect with an oncoming train as well as the foggy/hazy conditions, but I had no idea the photo would turn out that good. I guess I just got lucky.

Put it this way if you want to get better this is the spot to be, if all you want is to post photo's, as they are, this isn't the right place. Good photo's don't get on here all the time if there off by just a little bit.

I would think that a (reasonably) detailed photograph of a unique hi-rail vehicle which could be a really neat subject for a model would be of greater use to model railroaders then would be a blur, regardless of how artistically done that blur was.
Then again, that’s just my opinion, coming from my bias (namely model railroading) and we all know what opinions are like…

A blur? That is a beautiful shot of a timed exposure. G o to page 74 in your owners manual and you can read about how to take photos like it. It takes a lot of practice and patience to get a good shot let alone a night shot like those two!
Out of the 10 shots that I have ever submitted, I have 1 in the db.

Going back to PEQ rejections, I have gotten rejected for this quite a few times. But then I look at some other photos that have made it up, and I wonder what "esthetic quality" the screeners see in these. No offense intended on the photographers though.

Maybe I just look like an idiot bringing this up, but in my personal opinion (which is after all what accepts and rejects photos on here), I have submitted photos with better esthetic quality than these and gotten rejected for PEQ.

You're showing us photos in the database that you don't agree with the acceptance of, but you're not showing us your work that you feel should have gotten in. Show us what photos you submitted.

Well isn't that what one does nowadays?
Got a gripe with RP or some other Web Site?
Don't bitch in silence, get on Facebook and find some other like minded (or flat out delusional) individuals that share your angst and commiserate in print.
The Internet - bringing people together (whether for the betterment of humanity or not) for going on 20 years.

You need to get with the times, Facebook is so last week, twitter is where it's at. At least this week. At least this is what I hear, I have no desire to get on twitter and want to beat everyone who says "hashtag" when speaking with a fucking tire iron

It's one thing to post something like that on the internet, but to hear someone actually speak face to face like that is just infuriating to me.

Two thoghts --
1) Not clear on how you speak with a f**king tire iron. Maybe it's an interpretiave dance sort of thing?
2) Is it a good idea to engage in "beating" someone if they are speaking with a tire iron? Unless you have a similar, or greater blunt object to utilize, I would sense they would be able to use the tire iron to beat you back (note, I said "back" and not "off.")
