Default You Guys Will Get a Kick Out of This

Every once in awhile over on TO or right here in the RP forums, someone will post a senior picture or something where people are posing on and around railroad tracks. Then everyone gets all up in arms about how they're trespassing, where's the railroad cops, etc, etc, blah, blah. Anyway, I found this one today, which pretty much takes the cake. Trespassing aside, this has to be one of the goofiest engagement pictures ever!

See some other weird engagement pics Here!

I dont care about the trespassing, but it's backlit and unlevel.

A moronic idea (and...posed on an obviously busy piece of railroad), a bad composition that's unlevel and back-lit (as others have noted)---and two incredibly ugly people who deserve each other. I just hope they don't have children.

"Professionals" that do these sorts of photographs have no regard for their clients safety.

Sad.

Boggles my mind sometimes when a photographer has great light to work with and they pull this backlit crap. Oh, and they needed a flash, too. Turn the hell around, shoot it the other way, and the lighting and colors will be fantastic. Nope, instead they think this looks better.

Good Lord, that snap shot has been viewed 41,000 times on Flickr. There is no hope for any of us. But the comments are interesting on the original shot. Ranges from "love it" to "stupid" to "my friend got killed walking on the tracks."

Foreground clutter, obviously, way to distracting.

The first thing that came to mind, the quote from Pulp Fiction;

The Wolf: You guys look like... What do they look like, Jimmie?
Jimmie: Dorks. They look like a couple of dorks.
Jules: Ha-ha-ha. They're your clothes, @#$%&&!^&*.

A stupid photo idea, and a poor photo maybe, but this comment is totally unnecessary.

And this isn't the best forum to be slinging around the term dork on others.

Dear god.......I know EXACTLY where that was taken........
That was about 200ft from a NS yard office, I'm surprised they got away with it. This is also a very busy 60 mph line here, no grade crossings anywhere near. Incredibly stupid.

It's obviously on the Southern somewhere. Where is it exactly?

Maybe it's a young assistant trainmaster and his "lucky" soon to be bride

Hey, it's perfectly acceptable for one dork to call another dork a "dork."

Chamblee, GA, I'm sure you've been there on one of your trips to Atlanta. Having been there many many times you will get little to no warning of trains until you see them there. I'm not sure they couldve picked a worse spot with a blind curve on either side.

Wow, I just looked at the map. I've been to that spot myself. Geesh. Nearest grade crossings, for faint warning horns, to the south, nothing all the way to Inman, to the north, outside the Perimeter. No warnings at all. Is that right?

I was not taking pictures in those days, but that yard office always had some interesting power stationed there, back in the day.

On the tracks, off the tracks, they do it all the time at Fullerton.

Only reason I can think of for them facing this way is that they can see the train rip around that corner for the few seconds that it takes for it to reach them.
