"Bad Color" for night photography (reject)

Um, obvious I think probably see foreground little blurry right there. So I right?
Most I using PhotoScape and, sometime with Picasa 3.

Real nice shot, David. From what I can see on my iPhone, the only problem is the red cast, caused by nearby street lights. I'm unfamiliar with your mentioned editing softwares, but look for some color correction or white balance correction. In the future, see if your camera is capable of doing Tungsten. This is the best white balance for dealing with those annoying lights.

Chase, I don't think you should respond when you're on your iphone anymore...it's really, REALLY yellow. Not red. Anyways, with that much yellow, it may prove to be impossible to correct...are you shooting RAW now?

I got worried when Chase said red thinking my eyes are even worse than I thought.
I did a little work on it in PSE 7 and you can get rid of the yellow. Not sure I would consider it fully fixed yet though. In PSE 7, I went to Enhance> Adjust Color> Remove Color Cast and clicked on the white on the nose of the loco closer to us. It then needed some extra contrast and might still need some. I hope this is a croppee version since it needs to be rotated CW. If it's cropped, you can go back to the original and not lose any of the GP38-2 beside it when you rotate.

Joe, I was reading your comment and I use photoshop on a MAC. Can you tell me what the equivalent functionality in Photoshop is to what you are talking about with PSE 7. The editing capability that you describe could be of help to me.

Seem probably you are right. I see my picture as color look like be full part of yellow. And, that right streetlight on background there?

Um.,.I don't have PSE 7 with us but before I was used PSE demo for 30 days then until were done so I can't use them anymore so then I most using with photoscape often. And, should I crop on the left from streetlight right there?

No, I using JPEG not RAW but before I was takes any pictures with RAW then change I mind so I like change to JPEG from RAW since.

The color cast is way to strong to fix, black & white would be the best route.

No, it's not  Just pull the yellow slider to the left and adjusted the lightness till its better.

Well you will loose a substantial amount of image quality, it depends what the OP has to work from, B&W might be the easier route.

If they still un-accept about this picture then I don't worry about this picture so I will take night photography another someday and, try do my best again.

The hard part is seeing what's wrong before you go home so look for lights on shiny hoods and flares ups some brighter some darker then you may have one that works over the others.

Black and White conversion does wonders for a bad color rejection...
It also really accentuates the terrible noise and banding in the sky

Richard - Roger that...well I pretty very slow my experience when I takes night photography cause I not take night photography as much often..because I still using crappy my lens EF 25-135mm (F3.5-5.6.) IS USM....Also I think should it time I buy PSE 7 than photoscape or Picasa 3...
