I see some pretty bad chromatic aberration in Ben's shot.

The consensus from the past few threads in these forums seems to be....I have very few fans of my work. I can live with that.

Why do you think that? I'm just talking about that 1 photo. I'm sure everyone else is too. Everybody has crappy photos sometimes.

I have favorited more than one of your shots.

You have matured a lot recently Ben.

Just don't let the crazy eye dog git ya.

When you've proven yourself to take some great shots, you get more crap for the ones that aren't even close to that level Ben. At least that's how I look at it.

Agreed Loyd, but in this case, I don't think it's fair to say that Jim or anyone else in this thread is below the level of Ben. Jim Thias is an active forum contributor submitting legit advice and he's a well established RP photographer, too.

Same goes for the others who have chipped in on this thread. I may say what you're saying is true if it were posted on Facebook or some other group, but here, we're all on the same level and I feel that the advice given is not out of jealousy, but instead as a legitimate suggestion.

The only exception is Troy, who posts negative comments just to prove to others that he is a douche bag.

Ben, I don't have a problem with your photography talents. I think you're a fine photographer and have a great eye for the craft. However, that eye is lost when it comes to your processing. Either that or your monitor is really screwed up. Hopefully it's the latter.

I agree. I'm not sure why but processing to the point that nothing looks real seems to be the new craze. I've yet to experience a day where the conditions are the same as they appear in a lot of the photos I'm starting to see more and more of. Just because Photohop has a tool for it doesn't mean it should to be used to edit a photo.
