Wind River Canyon Shots

Back in August I was on family vaction mountain climbing in Wyoming and got lucky enough to catch a BNSF train in the Wind River Canyon in Wyoming and chased it back up the canyon. I have several shots I would like to submit but wanted to ask for criticism first. As I'm new to RP and to forums, I'd appreciate the comments. Thanks

I think the vertical is your best shot. The others are too backlit to really have a chance imo.

Yeah I really don't understand the backlighting obsession but hey guess you gotta play the RP game...

It's not just backlight. It is harsh, ugly light. The fourth one has dominating shadows. The backlit power is a total no-go for RP, but the shot itself would be greatly improved, regardless of the venue for its display, with plenty of cropping left and top to get rid of the worst of those shadows.

The first one, a dark train in a bright environment like that, just not particularly appealing. The overall light is harsh.

The second one, well, thank goodness for brightly colored engines! Could be worse. Crop at the top seems awkwardly placed.
