Blue spot in POTW?

I'm seeing a huge area where their selective levels or brightness filter didn't apply, looks kind of tacky on an otherwise pretty compelling shot

Only thing I took out was that bright contrail or cloud at the left. And cut the color temperature. Maybe a little shadows and highlights tweaking would be beneficial. Or not.

I see an artifact line along the bottomish of the exhaust. Is that what you're referring to?

I hesitate to speak for someone else but my original observation was that there is a clear line of brown/tan haze along the horizon which is absent only in the blue center above the unit(smile!!!!!). This blue section also appears brighter than the rest of the sky.. It was noted as a reply that this could be white vapor from exhaust which I guess becomes blue from sky and sun. I am fine accepting this as natural, but only noting the blue spot which was pretty obvious to me as unusual but seemingly is not.

Whatever the flaws, they are slight and the photo deserves the POTW honor.

This, doesn't look natural, like he was doings some levels editing or saturation or something, but forgot that area

Well there was a lot of editing involved to get the shot usable, and I can live with it as it's presented. At least 1/2 the sky isn't nuclear bomb level...

It appears that the area is blown out from the sunlight permeating the thinner exhaust and it was attempted to be fixed in photoshop with limited effectiveness.

I think that it is caused by use of the burn tool on Photoshop to try and eliminate glare from the sun

Yup - tried to rescue a blown-out spot and turned it into a flat, featureless grey. Great photo apart from that minor criticism, though.
