Default Rejected again (pics inside)

I went out during the day where i figured i would have good light and shot some pics before work one day. I put one of them up and it got rejected because the "sun was too high"... Other than that, how do they look folks?

Asides from the light, they're not too bad. I would have cropped them quite a bit tighter than you did, but a fair amount of that is personal preference. The second shot's my favorite of the bunch. That said, if accepted, they still would have been fairly run of the mill wedge shots (not that there's anything wrong with having a few run of the mill wedge shots in your portfolio), but there are probably some more interesting angles to capture in that area.

1-3 are good angles and in general good pictures. Taking the picture is easy. Taking it during the right time of day and year can be tough, especially if their is something special. Getting it past the screeners is near impossible.

4 is to far away and to wide angle.

5 is backlit.

Judging by the color of the foliage, this location is either VERY far south or these were taken during the summer months.

Just like ottergoose said I feel they should be cropped tighter the clutter from the railcars throughout the rest of the yard takes my focus away from the engine in the picture. Also in the fifth one the fence doesn't help and to me it has a squeezed look to it because of how close the fence is to the train.
