Default Users experiencing trouble with Google Chrome?

Folks,

I'm noticing some issues with my Google Chrome browser and its extensions. I'm receiving ads above the top banner on the home and members pages as well as a horizontal banner at the very bottom of the opened tab.

I verified my enabled extensions on the Google Chrome settings and nothing adds up on that page. I installed a Google Ad-blocker extension and that has resolved the situation, but in return has created some separate issues on the members section.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

It's worthy of noting that there's a small disclaimer pinned to those ads that reads "Ad not provided or supported by website". This leads me to believe it's something prompted directly by Google Chrome, but unable to determine an exact cause at this time.

Look forward to hearing some input from our contributors!

Best,
Chase Gunnoe

I am still getting obnoxious pop ups with Google chrome on my phone. As far as my PC, everything remains pop-up free.

The RP crew uses Ad-Blockers? That's how bad it is.

Using Chrome on my phone and tablet and Firefox on my desktop. Both receive a tremendous amount of pop ups.

Wasn't it mentioned months ago that RP did away with these?

It's worthy of clarifying that I'm referring to ads not supported by Railpictures and displaying themselves on the homepage and members page of an account that benefits from the elite membership.

For a further explanation and illustration of what I am referring to, take a look at my attachment. It clearly reads on the bottom right of the ad that it's not supported by the website. Interestingly enough, that implies to me that it's something generated from the browser. IE doesn't display those ads when logged into my account.

Sounds like you have adware to me. Run Malware Bytes.
