Default More bad contrast

I've posted one of these threads before, so I'll keep this relatively short...

It began with this shot... It was written off as blurry with bad contrast...

I had a fixed version whipped up almost immediately after I uploaded the first (because I kinda figured something would be wrong ), and it apparently fixed the blurryness, but the bad contrast is still there...

What do you guys think? If it's not that good a shot I won't persist...

Parts of the image seem a little hazy, even in your second submission. It may be something you can fix in photoshop, but you may need to use some contrast control in selective areas.

If you get it in, could you also give a description of what is taking place in this photo? Thanks.
