I dont really agree with this rejection and not much I can do about the sun. This is kinda a rare situation so what can I do to get this one accepted?

Look, the camera captures light. If the light isn't in the right spot, you're not going to get good results. You can't control the sun, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't work with it. Get the sun at your back - if it's not behind you, 95% of the time you're not going to get the shot accepted on this site. Get your shadow pointing in the same direction as the camera.

That said, you've got a lovely concept for a shot. If you want to get it accepted (and you definitely should), shoot it again if you can get the light in the right place (and take it a few moments earlier you so don't cut off the base of the semaphore on the right).

Well not likly ill be catching anything there soon. Its really a hard line to catch anything. I think CSX Runs a local once a week and Indiana railroad runs once a day. But I have no idea what time.

Sounds like an awfully lazy excuse. Once a day is plenty of opportunities to catch the movement if you really want the shot. Put some effort into learning about the operations and I'm sure you are bound to get great results within 2 weeks.

Did your mom know you got yours rejected and how much it meant to you to get this shot accepted?

Just hang onto the shot till about 10 years after the semephores are gone, then submit it.

That just shows the difference in screeners. Personally I liked the and thought the sun wasn't a factor.

Ah, the "high sun" rejection. It's very subjective, of course. Personally, I rather like the full-force of a nice, high, summer sun.

Well thats alright. After I kinda got upset about the rejection yesterday and I thought about how immature it was to get upset about it.

So let me get this straight...you got upset about that shot being rejected, and then your mom went and pimped you on it?

If she knew you were uploading yours and it got rejected, AND you were upset about it, why did she submit hers only to make yours look bad?

Didn't she know yours got rejected and you weren't happy about it?

No I told her to go ahead and try it. She only has 4 on there and she needs more. Plus she is a newbie at this and has only been shooting trains since Feburary. Also she got her photo on before I even sent mine in.

So, her shot was accepted, and you submitted your nearly identical shot anyways?

Ahh, well that makes sense then. I was under the impression she submitted hers after yours was rejected. Well then...you tried to steal your mom's thunder!!
