What could I do better?

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...&key=228293629

This was a shot waiting for an eastbound autorack that never came. It had backed over the bridge to West Springfield so I had played a bit with the focus on the Amtrak loco or the bridge and I like dthe bridge better. I also have horizontal but this was the one I liked the most. I also prepped for what I hoped the eastbound would look like but I needed to head home.

Let's see ...

- it is almost half empty sky
- the blurred secondary focal point, the engine, is obscured and tiny
- the rest of the blurred area is complicated, lots of blurred details, confusing
- the bridge segment, especially the piping on top, separates poorly from the background

For starters, crop a full 1/3 off the top of this, 1/3 off the left, and look at that, and think about the possibilities. A tighter, concise story. It doesn't save this shot, but it should help to look at it and ponder.

The subject of your picture...what is it?

This pretty much sums it up: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Thias
